Birdpress

Last week I started to prototype BirdPress after imagining the power of a Flutter-based blogging platform.

I think there’s some serious promise in the space and could see it being useful since blogging / page management functionality could be either added to standalone websites or embedded inside of mobile apps. I could also see it being useful for story-based games as a way to add player-written blogs that can be interacted with in a game, like in a detective game.

Themes could be created as Flutter packages or mixins which modify BirdPress’s layout.

Continuing to think about BirdPress is a distraction from my current work so I’m going to put it on the back-burner, but if you want to check out what I’ve done so far, either check the source code or the BirdPress Example.
